I may have missed this, but TV Guide online has a beta test of its video search engine. Folks, the parallel introduction of new ways for the audience to control its choices of television viewing. See http://online.tvguide.com/NewSearch/index.aspx

I was a beta tester for the original TV Guide Online. The software came on two 3 12/-inch floppy disks... in June 1995. You'd dial up with your modem, and off you'd go!
They abruptly cancelled it after a couple of months due to something they called "the Internet."
